How Virtual Desktops Work
A virtual desktop is a fully functioning desktop. Instead of being housed on local hardware, all applications and data are housed in our data centers functioning as virtual servers. This data is sent via the Internet (the "cloud") to an end user's workstation, whether it is a PC, thin client, or mobile device. Industry-standard encryption ensures that no information can be accessed by outside parties. Keystrokes and mouse movements are then relayed from the workstation to our data centers. This is a seamless process and the end user's experience is identical to that offered by a traditional desktop PC, allowing interaction with the same applications in the same way.
